What’s Happening In 311!
The students had a blast on our field trip! It was so much fun and the weather was amazing! There was corn everywhere! Thank you to those who volunteered and took time out of your day to help with the class. You are appreciated!
I have attached the final parent/teacher conference schedule to the newsletter. If you have not signed up, please send the conference form back with a time that will work for us to meet. Please let me know if something comes up and you need to change your time. I look forward to meeting with all of you!
Our Fall Party is October 28th from 9:30-10:30. If you signed up to help bring something for the party please see the note attached to the newsletter in your child’s folder. The kids can’t wait until next Friday!
The book fair will be October 31-November 4th. More information will be sent home soon.

Next week, we will be doing reading activities with pumpkins and with the book Crankenstein.
Math
Next week we will take Topic 6, Mental Addition, test. Students are also beginning to learn addition with regrouping.
Writing
We will be reviewing nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
Science/Social Studies
We will finish up our bats unit and begin a nonfiction unit on pumpkins.
If your child makes a 100% on the retest, they will be given an alternative list of words to study.

We will have early dismissals at 11:45 a.m. October 14th, October 27th, and October 28th. I will send students home the way they normally go on these days unless I receive a note stating otherwise. Also, we will be serving a sack lunch on those days if you child would like one. 
