2. The Background
13 years ago Jimmy was called to be Reverend of St Stephen's church
Church was at risk of closure
St Stephen's Church is located in Bradford in West Bowling a place of high deprivation
Low employment, High poverty etc.
St Stephen's runs a community centre called SHINE led by Sarah
Food club, Job clubs, Parent's groups etc.
Church and Community centre now thriving

3. The Cause
St Stephen's has had building repairs to improve the building to make it usable for the community.
The main church room is still extremely cold
The church hands out blankets and use patio heaters in the Autumn/Spring
In Winter the church has to meet at another venue
Npower have gifted the church a Biomass boiler
The church needs to raise £60,000 by the Summer
The Warm the Heart campaign has raised £30,000 already so far

4. Sponsored Bike Ride The ride covers 530 miles on a tandem
Over 8 days
St Stephen's to St Stephen's to St Stephen's
Starting at the fictional St Stephen’s Ambridge
(BBC Radio 4 Archers fame)
Going to St Stephen's Parliament Westminster
Heading back to home church St Stephen's Bradford
First time ever attempted by the Hinton's
Jimmy and Sarah only started training in early April
