Requirements – EEI course
Register for the course in SIS! ONE oral presentation in seminars (20%) Final written examination (80%) Note 1: For each failure at the written examination, you lose one attempt and you have a maximum of 3 attempts to take the final written exam Note 2: If you retake the exam, you lose your previous grade Note 3: You do NOT have to register for written exams Note 4: All special cases are subject to Prof. Komarek’s agreement

Out of 100 % (= 20% + 80%) 0-50 % = F(ailed) 51-60 % = E 61-70 % = D 71-80 % = C 81-90 % = B 91% and more =A Note: Modification vis-à-vis prof. Komarek’s presentation Passed

Seminars Each Thursday two parallel seminars
15:30~16:50 or 17:00 ~18:20 You choose one of the 2 sessions Core is presentation – maximum 20 points Up to 4 presentations for each seminar Each presentation done by group of 2 students (in exceptional case possible 1 student, taken into account in grading) 2 presentations on theory 2 presentations of your own topic 10 minutes per presentation, followed by Q&As

Pillars of the evaluation
Respect of the constraints: Send the presentation at least 48 hours before the seminar (Tuesday 8 pm) 10 minutes per presentation (20% tolerance) Quote the sources/bibliography Note: Do not quote Wikipedia, but sources used there. Share you presentation with colleagues (drive, google.doc, etc.) Plan & structure Originality of the approach Up to date Style and presentation

Final examination preparation
Topics covered in lectures cca 65% of the points you can get from the final examination Chapters 1-6 and 9-19 from the Baldwin- Wyplosz book ( ) cca 35% of the points you can get from the final examination

Final examination More weight will be given to main concepts and models (cca 70% of the points you can get from the final examination) and less weight to pure enumeration of facts (cca 30% of the points you can get from the final examination). Please note that cheating during the final examination will multiply your score by factor zero. Tolerance zero on cheating Careful with hand-writing, thank you! Only in English Understand > memorize No compromise on fair play 80 min, closed- book NO registration in SIS
