Math and Language Arts Students are learning the same curriculum and standards as their peers in the general education setting while working toward their individual goals as outlined in their IEP. The programs we are using to meet those goals include: Math: Envisions LA: Reading and Writing Workshop

Active, student-centered process Includes read-alouds, mini lessons, shared reading, guided reading, independent reading, conferencing, independent writing, shared writing, & interactive writing

Reading Logs 20 minutes of reading a night (M-Th)
(= 1,800,000 words/year *handout) Signature required for some weeks Various activities relating to strategies being taught in class Used for reading conferences
