Preparation rest, fed and watered check equipment required/spares arrive in plenty of time in uniform In the Exam slowly read questions/some are linked use the marks available as a guide attempt all questions and check After the Exam reflect but do not dwell on mistakes

6 week block- commences Monday 6th March and runs up to start of SQA exams After school sessions start at 4pm on a Monday and Tuesday and at 3.20pm on a Wednesday and Thursday. Lunchtime sessions last for 30 minutes. Voluntary programme, registered class lists

To support pupils who are not yet fulfilling their potential To motivate pupils by setting them clear and achievable goals Monitor and track pupils’ progress towards these set goals so they maximise performance and fulfil potential

80 pupils identified 41 Staff Mentors Volunteers assigned a maximum of 2 pupils Receive an information pack - Prelim results, target subjects, Supported Study programme/class lists, timetable, Pupil Progress Profiles Staff volunteering their own time – no time wasters, missed meetings.

Behaviour/Effort/Homework Understanding that not all pupils will have met their target grade yet, despite giving their all, so combination of all data used to determine those most suitable.

S4 Assertive Mentoring Format
Monday 6th March (6 weeks) 3 target subjects identified Goals set in each target subject Progress monitored on a weekly basis- Pupil Progress Profile (PPP) Parental signature required Know when meetings are – regular – routine.
