6
Why was this functionality added?
Already Existing Tax Functionality (Old Process) Issues: Each Taxable Bill Rule needs to be Applied to the Tax Bill Rule. Over time, as new Bill Rules added, easy to forget to Apply to the Tax rule. Taxes on multiple Invoice Types require separate Tax Bill Rules for each Invoice Type. New Method removes these issues. © 2016 AirIT, an Amadeus company
7
Why was this functionality added?
New Method No need for “Tax” Bill Rules on an Agreement. Each regular Bill Rule is defined as Taxable or Non Taxable. That’s it During BWA, all Taxable Amounts for a given Tax are summed and generated as a single line on the Invoice. Multiple Taxes can be assessed on a single charge, such as GST and PST. © 2016 AirIT, an Amadeus company

Note that a default Tax Group can be specified for each Rule Type.

Durations for Tax Rates
How does this work? What’s not Included Durations for Tax Rates Ex: New Rate going into effect 07/01/2016 and Old Rate effective until 06/30/2016. Step Charges for Taxes If needing this functionality, you can still use the old Tax method. © 2016 AirIT, an Amadeu Durations for Tax Rates Ex: New Rate going into effect 07/01/2016 and Old Rate effective until 06/30/2016. This would have added significant complexity to this process and was therefore not included. This can be addressed by completing billing on old rate, then changing to the new rate. Step Charges for Taxes If needing this functionality, you can still use the old Tax process.
