Some Differences between
THS and JMS Grades are more important than ever High School GPA affects Car Insurance Rates, Scholarships, Financial Aid, Required SAT/ACT Scores, College Admittance THS is on a Semester system (not quarter) Official Transcript You must pass all classes in order to earn the required 230 credits to graduate

Drivers Ed It’s free online. You need internet access & email.
You must be at least 15 years old. The course is approximately 40 hours of work. You will receive your pink “Certificate of Completion” in the mail once you have finished. Get a registration form from Mrs. O’Beirne in the Counseling Office.

THS Student Help Resources
Free Math Tutoring is available Monday through Thursday from 2:35 – 3:30 in the College & Career Center. Many Teachers are available in their classroom to help students during lunch. The College & Career Center is open before & after school, and during break and lunch. Students can do homework, use computers, or study for quizzes and tests. The Library is open during most breaks & lunches, and after school. Students can do homework, use computers, print, study for quizzes and tests, and utilize the typical library resources. The Learning Lab (room 1218) is a classroom that is open during break and lunch. The learning lab has a teacher or an adult aid who is available to help students with homework, projects, studying, etc. Private tutoring is available at the parent/guardian’s expense. Contact Paula Snider in the Career Center for more info.

Tips for Student Success
Attendance is very important…strive to be at school everyday. IF you miss school you fall behind! Be prepared – have paper, pencils, pens, etc. Utilize the THS student planner Utilize the additional resources that THS offers Be a self advocate
