All year 9 girls will be taking part in Inspirational women's event which started in It has given students the opportunity to talk to women in any industries about career choices. This even was so popular it inspired the creation of the event, which the year 9 boys will be taking part in this year.

The focus of the day is for students to experience the benefits of going to University and to get an insight into student life, by having a tour of the campus and experiencing a taster lecture.

1 hour a week = 8 whole school days = 40 individual lessons missed
90% attendance results in 4 whole weeks of missed in one year
Over 5 years that results in ½ a school year being missed!
