Findings Fairfield County experienced greatest period of growth between 1995 and 2000. Most counties (excluding Middlesex and Fairfield) experienced peak growth from 2000 to 2005. Middlesex County experienced peak growth from From 2010 to 2015 only Fairfield County and Hartford County experienced and increase in population from the previous 5 year period.
