Button Control Procedures
All Plastic / poly buttons must meet the following minimum performance requirements: Two Hole Two or Four Hole Ligne Size <14 14-21 ≥22 Minimum Thickness. 1.65mm/0.065in 1.65mm/0.0625in 2.0mm/0.0750in. Center / Breaking Strength 20.2 LBS / 10 SEC

Button quality Check Factory has a assigned Trims inspection team , they doing the check to ensure the buttons quality as 10% of Every style, lot and consignment wise and make sure in house button match with approval & strictly check below points ; Any metal fragments available at button hole? Button ligne match with requirements Button hole clear or broken or sharp Button color Button thickness Button Broken Button need to pass thru double head needle detector machine to make sure button are metal free.

Machine adjustment Before attach button Factory has to adjusted by lockstitch button machine , not by hand or another type of machine stitch. Vendor must clean button attachment machines on a daily basis to avoid any fluff, which could snag the thread and cause missing stitches/passes. Machine bobbin must be clean and make sure thread are smoothly run off within bobbin. Thread must be used as customer’s requirements and needle size must be correct . i.e. 11 and 14 are best for button attachment. After Machine adjustment by Mechanics , Quality In charge issue a approved standard working guideline in front of machine including all necessary information such as using tonal thread thread shade actual button , fabrics and needle size & instructions such as rabit ear must be visible and PSO must be check as below check list daily basis ; - Complete 2 " Rabbit Ear" -Complete Stitch Pattern Vendor : Factory: Model No. / Operator : Machine No. : PSO: Date : Style No. : Stitch Density (Nos. of stitches) : Time Complete 2 "Rabbit Ear" Complete Stitch Pattern (Cross or Parallel stitches) The initial refilled & ending of bobbin thread record Output TOTAL Defective Action Taken Nos. Bulk Production Before start production operator should be make mock-up by similar layer (button attaching position) and button attach into mock-up and Safety officer do pull test when button pull test are meet 20.2 LBS / 10 sec then he will allows to start bulk production. During button attach when bobbin will end and after bobbin re-fulfill then ist button must be attach into mock-up and last attach button by this particular bobbin those button must remove and newly attach button again.

Carter’s button pull test requirements 20.2 LBS / 10 SEC Every two hours PSO doing button pull test and keep records accordingly . Quality Check after button attach
Factory assigned two QA to do check 100% button after attaching and strictly follow below points ; Tonal Thread using or not Button half stitch Two rabbit ear Lock stitch at button attach 16 stitch for 4 ligner button Broken button Button sharpness QA keep records accordingly.
