Is your thesis statement stated clearly and does it include an appropriate theme?
Does each of your claims (topic sentences) prove your thesis?

3. Look at each paragraph and decide if you:
Provided enough specific evidence
Used at least one quotation well
Made it clear how the evidence proves the claim (warrants)
Do you restate your thesis idea at the beginning of the conclusion?
Does your conclusion come full circle or close your essay in some other effective manner?
