In Christ, they become new creation (2 Cor 5:17): they are adopted into God’s family (Rom 8:15- 17), their souls are renewed (Tit 3:5), sins are forgiven (Heb 9), the Holy Spirit dwells in them (1 Cor 6:19; Eph 2:22), and thereby they bear the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23).
