3 Background Information About The Project
IN2IT aims to develop and implement an innovative technological infrastructure for the purpose of advancing internationalization in higher education, and thereby to expand the practical applications of internationalization in Israeli academic colleges, to strengthen the capacities for teaching, learning, research and training, and to improve the quality and positioning of Israeli state-funded academic colleges in higher education. IN2IT specific objectives: Establish a framework for assessing internationalization capability maturity level to identify leading organizational units. Develop curriculum for international academic programs – Bologna process. Develop international professional Communities of Practice (CoP) to share knowledge and research. Develop and exploit international academy-industry cooperation between partner HEIs and global organizations. Develop and implement an Innovative Technological Platform to support internationalization by identification and analysis of available technologies and stakeholder requirements. Develop sustainability and exploitation work plans within partner colleges and on national level. Project’s Products Tangible Deliverables Four International courses which have been reformed to Bologna process. Collaborations Network: New collaborations with EU institutions: Kingston, Brunel and Montpellier Universities. Continuation and maintain our collaborations from the previous EU projects. Sharing knowledge among IL and EU Academics, professional staff and students. Development of an Innovative Technology Platform which will support the international courses for all project institutions. Intangible Deliverables Experience in developing international courses - Sapir team participating in different workshops in IL and EU institutions. Background There is consensus that competent employees are the bedrock of sustainable organizations that perform effectively in our VUCA environment. Growing concerns among employers, labor market experts and government agencies regarding the shortage of competent new hires armed with the necessary skills to perform effectively in various jobs. Purpose To develop essential skills for leading an effective lifelong professional career in the global environment. Design process Competency literature was reviewed to identify the skill sets of talented employees. Gaining feedback and insights from Brunel & Kingston universities staff and wider industry networks. Consolidate a conceptual framework and draft initial course model. Learning objectives (work in progress) Students will increase their self-awareness and improve their self-management skills. Students will communicate their ideas clearly and effectively. Students will advance their interpersonal skills for working effectively in cross-cultural teams. Course structure and mode of delivery Students work in a collaborative international teams to address a real world challenge (PBL) Applying an open platform by the virtual teams to communicate globally, exchange & share ideas. 16 Impact on Participants (Beneficiaries)
Between students will experience studying with a Bologna syllabus and EU credit process. Additionally, these courses will be taught fully in English. Students 3-4 lecturers will develop international collaborative courses with EU and IL institutions. Once the courses are completed, these lecturers will teach them in Sapir. Staff Technology Marketing, Managing Human Resources and English departments will implement 3 internationals courses adhering to Bologna process accreditation. Department Enhancing Sapir’s internationalization position. In2IT deliverables will contribute the supporting pillars to Sapir as an international college (SCI). Management In2IT project following the IRIS project which guide, encourage and establish an Internationalization strategic in Sapir. Transform Sapir curriculum to Bologna process accreditation. Recruiting the various academic departments in Sapir. Difficulties to coordinate between the project’s institutions regard: Course content development Course method of delivery and timing Schedules meeting Needs, desires and constrains. Various LMS (MOOC, Moodle, etc.) platforms among the 14th In2IT institutions for DL supports.
