The Brand Vita Coco are an international drinks brand who create healthy and refreshing coconut based products. Their key products are Coconut Water, Coconut Oil and Coconut Milk alternatives.

The Challenge… Vita Coco wanted to tap into the January New Year’s resolution buzz to surprise gym goers with a sample of coconut water, which contains no added sugar, boosts electrolytes and rehydrates quickly, offering a healthier alternative to other sports drinks.

Why Health Clubs? As 55% of Health club members are likely to buy a product if they can try a free sample first, it provided the perfect opportunity to introduce their product to 1.4m active and conscious adults, with a 2 weekly footfall of 5.6 million.

What we did… We distributed coconut water samples in lockers across the country surprising gym goers with a post-workout pick me up. Money off coupons were included in the campaign to drive future purchase and eye-catching creative was used on D6 screens & 6-sheet posters to raise awareness of the sampling.

What we achieved… 32,500 gym members across the UK trialled the Vita Coco product throughout the campaign, which also created a buzz around the promotion on social media. The campaign helped to raise January sales performance of the product by 6%.
