3. Scholarship Strategy Do your initial search.
Make a list of scholarships for which you're interested in applying.
Prioritize your list based on the amount of the award, the scholarship application deadline, and how much work will be involved in applying.
Make a schedule for working your way through this list, and decide how many scholarship applications you will complete each week.

4. Good to Know
According to the National Scholarship Database, nearly 60 percent of scholarship deadlines fall between the months of February and April.
 Remember that there are scholarship opportunities out there for everyone, even if your strengths have nothing to do with academics.
Everyone knows there are plenty of scholarships out there for the egghead, the jock, the feminist, the free spirit, and even the average student.
BUT there are also may others, for women, minorities, special talents, special interests, particular majors, etc..

You should also plan a visit to the office of financial aid if you are falling short.
