Curriculum at the U of A Over 210 academic programs offered
Nearly 5,000 active courses on the books Over 300 program changes for the last academic year Nearly 1,200 course changes in the last academic year Three catalogs published annually

Curriculum Management in 2008
Course Changes Program Changes Java-based application developed in-house Moved course proposals through workflow Used nearly 15 years “Electronic” program change form Protected Word document submitted and routed via Hard copies printed for appropriate signatures at multiple campus committee meetings Catalog Updates Colleges/departments edited Word documents Updates made in current content management system (RedDot)

Use third-party curriculum management system Course and program updates integrated with catalog updates Published catalogs with new software Went live with course change module in spring 2014 Went live with program change module in fall 2014 Course Changes Catalog Updates Program Changes

Be open to changing your current curriculum forms! Insist on knowing how the new system uses the data you send…. Re-evaluate your policies and procedures…. Any data “clean-up” has to be done in two systems—your SIS and the curriculum software…. Know your data!
