8 Reviewing the Current Supervisor Field

9 Agenda Review the current supervisor field through:
Employee Master Data Report in BW Organizational Staffing and Display Report (PPOSE) from your SAP Easy Access Menu Review ways to update the current supervisor field

10 BW Reporting Open BW Report Center
Under JH Report Library -> Human Resources -> Personnel Admin -> General Employee, select Employee Master Data by Date Open BW Report Center, by clicking on your SAP icon, putting in your necessary logging information, then you should see BW Report Center tab To get to the report (read above) * You can also get directly to any report if you enter the report name in the search field down below as well. Many BW Human Resources reports offer Current Supervisor as a Free Characteristic, or within Properties of the Employee or Position.

11 BW Reporting Now you will enter your search parameters on the variable screen Click the selection box next to Employment Status. Choose LOA With Pay, LOA Without Pay, Active, and Temporarily Inactive. In the Organizational Unit field, you will need to enter all the org unit numbers that your area uses. Click Insert Row to add multiple org unit numbers. Select your personnel area. For Key Date, choose the last day of the previous month. Your completed variable screen should look like this:

12 BW Reporting Select to double check your report is filled out correctly Then select and your report will start generating Your report will then open Under Free Characteristics, add the Current Supervisor to the report by clicking Drilldown in the Rows. If you wish to export this file to excel, you can do so by under Printing choosing Print to Excel. Then review the Current Supervisor field for accuracy. This may take some time. Many BW Human Resources reports offer Current Supervisor as a Free Characteristic, or within Properties of the Employee or Position.

13 BW Reporting Results from the BW report
Here is the screen shot of the data you will see in your report/ Also to point out if you have a supervisor position number assigned to an employees position. But the supervisory has left. However, you plan on filling the same supervisory position. You will not need to update the employees position. However, if the supervisory position number is changing, then you will need to update the employees position. Otherwise, you will not need to do anything. Once the supervisory position gets refilled, it will automatically populate with the new supervisor name on the employees position.

14 Organizational Staffing and Display
Open SAP, select the ECC tab SAP Easy Access Menu, type “PPOSE” in your transaction box

Select Organizational unit, delete the asterisk and enter your org unit number.

Double click your Org Name at the bottom left of your screen, then select “Go to” and then select the “Staff Assignments (List)”

Review the Superior column to verify that the supervisor information is correct and up to date.

If you have 25 or more changes, you may use our “Supervisor Field Update Form” on our website (Forms -> HRSS -> Supervisor Updates)
