Examples are coal, oil, natural gas, metals, and minerals

A natural resource that is naturally replaced in a relatively short amount of time
Examples are sunlight, wind, water, plants, and animals (if they are not used too quickly)

5. Alternative Energy Sources
These are new ways to power our cars, homes, and cities.
We rely heavily on nonrenewable natural resources, so it seems obvious that we need to focus on renewable ones.
