Negative.. The weather is cold. The weather isn’t cold. The books are on the table. The books aren’t on the table.

To write a yes/no question using the verb to be (am, is,are) we: Start with am if we use the pronoun I I am from Japan Question: Am I from Japan? Start with is if we use the pronoun she, he, it :- She is from Japan Question: is she from Japan? He is from Japan Question: is he from Japan? it is from Japan Question: is it from Japan?

10 Start with are if we use the pronoun we,you, they
We are from Japan Question: Are they from Japan? You are from Japan Question: Are you from Japan? They are from Japan

11 Questions The weather is cold Is the weather cold?

12 She is a teacher Is she a teacher?
Question … Yes, she is. No, she isn’t. She is a teacher Is she a teacher? Yes, they are. No, they aren’t. They are at school Are they at school? Yes, I am. No, I’m not I am angry Are you angry?

13 The Indefinite Article a/an
We use the indefinite article a/an before a singular noun which is countable. The form a is used before a word beginning with a consonant sound: a man , a hat , a table , a board The form an is used before a word beginning with a vowel sound (a, e, i, o,u) an apple , an egg , an island , an onion , an uncle
