The Facts of Life
2
The Facts of Life Life is different for all people: education, wealth, society, health, etc. But all people experience the same five facts of life
3
1: Life Goes By Quickly Life passes swiftly like a vapor; life is transitory (Job 7:6; 9:25-26; Psa. 39:4; 90:10-12; 103:15; Jas. 4:13-16) We must make good use our time and not waste it (Acts 24:25; Eph. 5:16; Jas. 4:17)

2: Life Will Have Its Troubles
Life is full of troubles (Gen. 47:9; Job 14:1-2; Rom. 5:12 [Gen. 3]; 8:22) We should use our troubles and trials to make us stronger (Rom. 5:3-4; Heb. 12:5-11; Jas. 1:2-4,12) We should remember that heaven is without troubles (Rev )

3: Life Is Final We all live once and die once; we all get just one life (2 Kings 20:1; Eccl. 12:7; Heb. 9:27) There are no do-overs; no second chances (Lk. 16:19-31) We are just passing through on our way to another place: heaven or hell (1 Pet. 2:11) We need to remain detached (1 Tim. 6:7; Pet. 3:10; 1 Jn. 2:15-17)
6
Life Is Final We need to aim high (Phil. 3:14; Col. 3:1-2)
We need to be good at what we do (Eccl. 9:10) We need to focus on what is first (Psa. 27:4; Lk. 10:42) We need to pay attention to details (Mt. 5:19; 25:21) We need to keep going to the end (2 Tim. 4:7)

4: Life Is What You and God Make of It
Life is not fixed and unchanging; fates; a pre- designed computer program Life is about your choices (Deut. 30:5,19; Pet. 3:10) Life is in God’s hands to control (Prov. 21:1); life is a gift from God (Acts 17:25-28); life can be altered through prayer and providence

5: Life Is Accountable To God
Life is preparatory; life’s deeds will be judged by God (Mt. 12:36; Rom. 14:10,12; 2 Cor. 5:10; Pet. 4:5; Rev. 20:12) We must watch ourselves; we must be ready and prepared to meet our Maker What is the end of the matter? What is the whole of man? Fear God and keep his commandments (Eccl. 12:13-14)!
