Responsibility, dependability, faithfulness is better than “getting by”
Why? Faithfulness in small things, leads to faithfulness in big things: job, marriage, Christianity (Mt. 25:14ff; Lk. 16:10)

Moral courage and character is needed to stand for what is right and say “No!” (Prov. 1:10; Dan. 1:8; Jas. 4:7)
Why? There will be sinful influences: immodesty, bad language, fighting, etc.

The truth of God’s word must be followed over what man says (Isa. 5:20; Col. 2:8)
Why? Young people are bombarded with false messages about evolution, sex education, homosexuality, etc.

Peer pressure works both ways; you can pressure others to do right (Phil. 2:15)
Why? When your “light” goes out, “darkness” comes (Mt. 6:22-23)

Moral friends (Prov. 13:20)
Friendship with the world makes us at enmity with God (Jas. 4:4)
Why? Bad company corrupts good morals (1 Cor. 15:33)

11. Back to School Christianity (1 Pet. 4:16)
You still need to put the kingdom first (Mt. 6:33), pray for food (1 Tim. 4:4-5), etc.
Why? God is still watching (Prov. 15:3)
