Education for Healthy Kids Initiative
Longest running - established 1997 Increased physical education time Still had recess Infused health skills into culture of school and core classes Started what is now known as “brain breaks” Increased fitness scores Playground behavior reduction Initial pilot had 80% reduction Students more focused in classroom Mikki – 3:00

Take care of yourself first
Pick out a heart or a person to write down your self-care plan for the school year. Pick someone who will have “check-ins” to see how you are doing throughout the year, so keep it in a visible location. ☺
