It has long been held by educators that high expectations and good relationships with students are critical to causing students to achieve at high levels.

Maintaining a good relationship with students built upon mutual respect is at the forefront of what a master teacher does, according to our survey results.

The master teacher does not “take care of business of teaching” without first spending considerable time protecting and nurturing their students every single day.
