“The purpose of this Chapter will be to promote the advancement of the safety profession and safety professionals and development of its members in the geographical area served.”

5 Definitions Value Success the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.
the regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something. "your support is of great value" Synonyms: worth, usefulness, advantage, benefit, gain, profit, good, help, merit, helpfulness Success the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. "the president had some success in restoring confidence" synonyms: favorable outcome, successfulness, successful result, triumph;

6 Programming Responsibilities
Four Technical Sessions a year Six meetings total Take the On-Line Training

7 Survey We will ask three questions, each of you will rank your answers
We will then compare your answers to a smaller set of Region 6 answers Then discuss the results Survey Method

8 Survey Method The survey will rank the answers on a scale of 1-5.
We will then determine which answers were most common. Methodology: Pick the top or best answer, label # 1, then Pick the bottom answer, label # 5, then Pick the next best answers, label # 2, then Pick the next bottom answers. Label # 4. The rest are 3s.

9 Survey: Success Factor
 What would you consider the most important success factors? (rate the most important two (1) and least important two (5) factors for a program meeting? Then pick the next two (2) most important, then the next two (4) least important.) Location Travel distance Venue Speaker Technical Topic Demonstration or site visit topic More of a social meeting Follow-up Level of presentation (beginner, advanced, etc.) Price / cost Time of the day Enough advance notice Record ability to show again Timeliness of topic Same day each month Other?
