Customer Requirements and Product Selection
targeted to distract and engage child age 4-12 chosen to limit need for parent participation, assistance simple but fun game for children playing this game will show how springs and moments interact with the outside world to love physics Customer Requirements and Product Selection
4
Preliminary Design similar to basketball
double chamber to collect balls as replacement to traditional hoop inner chamber concealed, will release balls spontaneously, e.g. dump bucket at water parks two hoops facing each other, child underneath taking turns shooting balls, first to tip opponents bucket wins
5
Final Design We ended up removing the post that would have been used to hold the bucket and making it so that it was only one bucket where both players shoot on the same bucket. Since we changed the format we changed the gameplay to include dice to decide how many balls you are allowed to throw each turn We also added a contraption to catch the balls once the bucket tips

Customer Feedback “If it's spring based, won't it always flip open at the same volume of balls? “Recognizing the ultimate objective of the game is to have the objects hit the other player, I imagine the kids would either get frustrated if they were losing and just throw them at the other party, or get distracted and do that regardless. Especially with water balloons. “Also wouldn't water balloons break when they went into the basket?” -Reddit Poll response
