Sale of Good Act makes sure business sell products that are ‘fit for purpose’
It is very powerful law
It can make firms completely replace products you are no happy with, or have even the potential for faults (e.g. cars, phones)
The law is instinctively on the consumers side. It is up to the producer to prove the claim is not true
Trade Descriptions Act makes sure businesses do not lie. This Big Mac can be part of the five a day……stops firms from making spurious claims
