2 Major Events First Truly Global War, World War 2, began in 1939.
Japan bombs Pearl Harbor in 1941, and America enters World War 2. Franklin D. Roosevelt dies in This was also the end of World War 2.

3 Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt served in office from 1933 to 1945.
His Vice President was Alben W. Barkley. Franklin sadly died in 1945 as America won the war. Harry S. Truman was the first and only president to use the atom bomb on another country.

4 Inventions Bigger and better television sets came out- 1941
First computer at Harvard- 1944 American Retro Double Bubble Clock distracts the kids so their parents can finally get some peace and quiet-1941 to 1956 The jeep made its debut in November 11, 1940 Silly Putty- The old version of Playdoh. Penicillin- A resource that was used to help cure diseases.

5 Entertainment Bambi- released by Disney in 1942.
Popular TV show- “Howdy Doody” in 1947 Disney's "Song Of The South" came out in 1948 White Christmas- 1944

6 Famous People Bruce Lee- A Hong Kong American Martial Artist
Bobby Knight- American Basketball Coach Frankie Avalon- An actor, singer, and formal teen idol Nancy Sinatra- Was a famous singer.

7 Fashion Petticoats- Women's loose undergarment hanging from the shoulders or the waist Skirts Shorts Pants Bolero's- Women's short open jacket Shrugs-A jacket cut short front and back
