Legacy: noun A body of ideas, achievements, and morals Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. left behind a legacy of fighting for equal rights. Delegate: verb To divide up, especially responsibilities The Eco-friendly club delegated the task of planting trees to the Sophomore class.

ACT/AG “to do, act” Agenda: noun Proactive: adjective
Plan of action or purpose The United States had an agenda to stop communism in Vietnam. Proactive: adjective Seeking to solve a problem before it occurs The proactive facial cleanser cleared up my acne so I could look photogenic in my senior portrait.

The exacting coach sometimes kept the team for hours to practice a single play.

PULS/PEL “to push” Repulsion: noun Dispel: verb
Desire to avoid; disgust/horror After watching several episodes of surgeries on television, I began to feel a repulsion towards blood. Dispel: verb To scatter about, break up The police were sent to dispel the protestors marching against the war in Washington D.C.
