Section 2.7B Slant Asymptotes
If the degree of the numerator is exactly one more than the degree of the denominator, the graph of the function has a slant asymptote. A slant asymptote is a non-horizontal line that the graph of the function approaches as To find the equation of the slant asymptote, we simply divide the numerator by the denominator.
