4. Are Fin-Techs BANKS? Definition:
Financial technology (FinTech or fintech) is the new technology and innovation that aims to compete
with traditional financial METHODS in the
delivery of financial services.
In the Definition you can see that it's not a BANK but an Enabler of Financial Services Leveraging Quick Thinking, and Technology Eliminating the Cumbersome paperwork.

Wealth Management: These are typical wealth mgmt service providers. Investment Management, Money Management, Loan FinTechs E.g: Betterment | Investing Made Better. 1
Alternative Finance: These majorly include: marketplace lending platforms (B2B, B2C, C2C, etc.), or even crowdfunding platforms. E.g: Peer to Peer Lending & Alternative Investing 2
Looking at Types of Fin-Techs you realise that They all NEED Banks… Even BlockChain Technology or what we better know as BITCOINs
Payment Platforms: Basically efficient integrated Payment solutions. E.g.: 3

6. Types of Fin-Techs?
Blockchain Based Solutions: For years these have been limited to just cryptocurrency based fintechs (example: Buy and Sell Bitcoin in U.S, UK & Malaysia), but now include a wide range of solutions (check out the swedish land registry on the blockchain, enabled by: ChromaWay) 4
In Sweden its been experimented with Banks and Land/Property Owners in selling of Homes.
