Members are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances. Students involved in other GMS activities will be excused as necessary, but cannot abuse this privilege. Band members should arrange job schedules accordingly. Working outside of school is not considered a reason for an excused absence.
Excused absences will include the following: illness, family emergency, approved family activity, approved GMS activity. Absences will only be considered excused when a note explaining the absence, signed by a parent or guardian, is presented to Mr. Woods.
Unexcused absences will lead to a lowered grade and possible dismissal from the marching band.
