Here is a close up of the maiden’s arm with the court jester beagle Lily sleeping next to her. Here is the princess dog Bessie sleeping on the royal library science textbook next to the maiden’s leg.

A Little bit about me Besides family and friends, there are some of the things that I simply adore. Fairytales; both reading and writing them Disney in general; some of my favorites being the movies Tangled, The Little Mermaid, and Sleeping Beauty as well as going to Disney World Collecting all types of Mermaid Items Johnny Depp Movies, especially Alice in Wonderland and Benny & Joon Watching Everybody Loves Raymond reruns Listening to the music of Paul McCartney, Evanescence, and musicals like Cathy Rigby’s Peter Pan, Wicked, and Phantom of the Opera

My true love: Books Reading, and as of high school writing, have been a big part of my life and since many librarians happen to be book lovers I thought I’d share a few of my favorites. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon the Vampire Kisses series by Ellen Schreiber the Princess of the Midnight Ball trilogy by Jessica Day George the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr This is not me but I actually was Belle (in her blue dress) for the last two Halloweens.

Education Prior to college I grew up in my hometown in Pennsylvania but moved to Florida to pursue my degree in Library Sciences. In the spring of 2016 I completed my BA in English- Literary Studies which I also earned at USF. This is my second semester in the MA program for Library Sciences.

My Home Away from home… While I have always had a passion for books, it was not until high school that I realized just how much working as a librarian appealed to me. For three years I interned in my school’s library, learning the basics of the field from two of the most wonderful women who I still call some of my dearest friends years later. I have a naturally shy and introverted personality but when I was behind the circulation desk, helping my fellow students and staff members, I thrived. I am not sure if I would have pursued a degree in library sciences if I had not had this wonderful opportunity…

Sadly not everyone is able to enjoy literature in the same way.
My goals as a Librarian As you may have been able to tell from this presentation, as well as my choice of degree, I have had a strong love of reading for most of my life. Sadly not everyone is able to enjoy literature in the same way. I would love to work with either children or young adults to nurture their relationship with reading or helping their understanding of it.
