A furniture company has asked you ton produce a functional design idea for a flat pack piece of children’s furniture. 1 a) In the table below give three design criteria for a flat pack piece of children’s furniture. Give one reason for each criteria. An example has been given below. EXAMPLE 2 Pre-school nurseries develop children in many important ways, you have been asked to design a toy which develops one of the following in pre school children: Shape and colour matching skills Counting and number skills Building and simple construction skills Complete the table showing important criteria for your toy and give your reasons. The toy below need to be packaged: Give 2 function of packaging for the children’s toy pictured above. An example has been given for you (6 marks). FUNCTION EXPLANATION Transport Packaging will allow lots of toys to be stacked together for transportation to the shop and reduce space needed for storage.
