2 Sen. Buttars ignores 1st amendment
Senator Buttars of Utah supports the movement to make Utah a Mormon based state. Randy Hegsted, author of article claims that Buttars has “never heard of the 1st amendment” - “separation of church and state”

3 1st amendment Freedom of speech
Freedom of religion (no law establishing religion or prohibiting free exercise thereof) Freedom of press People to peaceably assemble Separation of church and state is where? Although it is illegal to do, there is no such thing as separation of church and state.

4 Abortion law Abortion law in New Hampshire is sent back to lower courts for more review. This law require parental notification prior to abortion performed on a minor. It contained no exception provision for any time the minor’s life or health were in danger. 1st U.S. circuit court of appeals held law unconstitutional.

5 14th Amendment Equal Rights
“No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens” “Nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty or property, without due process of law” This is unconstitutional, how? If the minor just needs a parental signature for the abortion, then it shouldn’t be a problem.

6 Same-Sex Marriage Ban Virginia Senate gave approval to a constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriage. Sponsored by Senator Stephen Newman “Despite 18 states already having passed Defense of Marriage legislation, amendments that ban same-sex marriage might be illegal under the U.S. constitution”-John Orth (prof at UNC school of law)

Gerhardt of University of North Carolina School of law were chosen to decide if allegations were impeachment worthy. They thought Clinton wasn’t worthy of impeachment.
