2 Why College Credit Plus?
Students earn high school and college credit Free tuition (or low cost tuition in some circumstances) Promotes more college/career ready students Increases access Student convenience – location specific

3 Costs There are no associated costs to the student
No application fee Tuition is paid for public school students Books and fees are paid Consumable supplies purchased by student Financial risk for failed or withdrawn classes

4 Awarding Credit Students may take up to 30 credit hours per academic year dependent on number of non-CCP courses taken at the HS CCP year - starts summer semester 3, 4, 5 credit hour courses 3 or more credit hour courses = 1 Carnegie Unit 1 cr hr = .33 2 cr hr = .66

Orientation will be offered AT Ansonia high school May 7:00pm Sign up in guidance office after completing the application/qualifying process Additional dates available on campus

13 Scheduling Courses Students may take classes in any offered format
High School Edison campus Online View courses on WebAdvisor (Edison website) Courses viewed by location Prerequisite course work must be met Ex. ENG 121 before ENG 122

14 Scheduling/Registration
Registration occurs each semester Summer, Fall, Spring CCP Advisors Registration form New form every semester Must have authorization from high school guidance counselor Add, Delete, Drop, Withdraw All changes must be approved by your HS guidance counselor

Registration occurs AT the high school for Ansonia HS May 18th (returning) May 19 (new) Registration dates will be announced at school

16 Priority Date Guidelines
Summer Semester (May-July) Application process completed by April 1 Orientation/Registration completed by May 24 Fall Semester (Aug-Dec) Application process completed by July 1 Orientation/Registration completed by July 25 Spring Semester (Jan-May) Application process completed by Dec 1 Orientation/Registration by Jan 1

Online Workshop Fee waived for CCP students 1 week workshop Complete successfully online prior to term 70% to pass Two-attempt limit per semester $30 fee for additional attempts

18 Failing/Withdrawing High school may seek reimbursement for ALL associated costs from students who fail or withdraw after the official drop date Tuition, Books, Fees Probation and suspension policies may be applied Permanent college record Impacts high school GPA Transferability Athletic eligibility
