1 Grade 3/4 Camp 2017

2 Overview ADANAC CYC’S 13 acres of undulating parkland, manicured gardens, natural bush, recreational lake, & magnificent views over the Yarra Ranges are situated only an hour east of Melbourne’s CBD in the beautiful Yarra Valley. ADANAC CYC facilitates a positive community experience for students attending school camps while, at the same time, providing the opportunity for VELS linked experiential learning to take place. Our camp programs are fun-filled, affordable, educational and safe

3 Staff Attending: Mrs van Strijp, Miss Davis, Mrs Johnson, Miss Dewick (Monday and Tuesday), Mrs Bice, Mrs Adams, Mrs Lanham (Monday/Tuesday) Dates 5th-6th of June Location: 47 Hoddle Street Yarra Junction Victoria 3797 Ph: Transport: To cut camp costs, parents or guardians are asked to drop off and pick up. 5th June: Children to arrive at 9:00am. Please sign your child in. 6th June: Pick up between 3:00 and 3:30pm. Please sign your child out. If you have any problems with transport at these times please speak to your child’s teacher.

4 Expectations Students
At all times, students are expected to adhere to the School’s Code of Conduct. Students are expected to:  Follow all directions and respect the position of teachers and supervisors in charge of the group.  Act responsibly at all times whether with the entire group of separated from supervision.  Follow all regulations and codes specified by the camp facilitators.  Be respectful, courteous and just to others and to respect property.  Communicate openly and seek to build and maintain positive relationships with peers, parents and staff.  Make the most of the educational opportunities offered by the camp experience.

5 Medication If your child has any medication, it will need to be registered with Mrs v when you drop your child to camp.

6 Activities The activities the students will be undertake on camp are:
Low ropes course Flying fox Camp cooking Archery Hut building Disc golf Night time activities: Night walk (weather permitting) Talent show

9 Accommodation Each guest room is carpeted and heated with many rooms enjoying their own private en- suites. All accommodation is easily accessible to and closely situated around the dining and function rooms. As is customary in the group accommodation industry, guests supply their own personal bedding, however pillows and supplementary doonas are provided. *Students will find out who they are sharing a cabin with when they arrive on camp.

13 Duty Groups Duty Groups Are needed to set tables 15 minutes before each meal and to clear the tables, wipe the tables, and sweep the floor as needed after each meal. Table Clearing and Dishes Clear all the tables. Place all dirty dishes in the dishwashing area. Wipe down all of the tables and chairs. Sweep the floor in the dining area as needed.
