2. What is Children in Action?
Children in ActionSM is a fun-filled missions organization for girls and boys in grades 1–6 that helps children develop spiritually toward a missional lifestyle.

7. Basis for Children in Action
The foundation of Children in Action is the meetings. Here, children journey together as they learn about and do missions with their peers.
The yearly curriculum is designed to give children a broad view of how God is working through missions around the world.
Children discover a variety of missions needs and ministries. They participate in projects that make a difference in their communities and around the world.

8. Children in Action Guide for Leaders
Guide for starting Children in Action
One book per leader is recommended.

9. Children in Action Leader
This is the leader guide for weekly teaching plans. It includes activity posters and banners.
One guide needed per leader.

10. Children in Action Leader
Children in Action Leader provides monthly plans for Children in Action groups to learn about a different missions area.
Sessions provide ideas for leading all children, grades 1–6.
Sessions encourage children to learn about and actively participate in missions opportunities at home and around the world.

11. Missions Expedition
This is the individualized achievement plan for Children in Action.
One book is needed per group.
Children can work on missions projects during the fourth week’s lessons each month or at their own pace.

12. Missions Expedition
This optional plan is designed for use once every month. Missions ExpeditionSM helps leaders customize projects that help children grow spiritually and mature in their understanding of missions.
Badges are awarded upon completion.

13. The Children in Action vest has been updated to include Missions Expedition badges.
We are adding two new badges to the front… Missions Expedition and the memory verse badge.

14. Across the top of the back of the vest, we recommend that the growth area badges are placed. These badges (Pray, Give, Grow, Care, Do, Learn, Keep) coordinate with the growth areas that children can work in each year.
The bottom half of the vest is reserved for group or individual projects including: Pure Water, Pure Love, Pen Pals, Technology, Project Help, World Crafts, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, and more.
Stars can also be used with project badges as well.
