4. Types of Farm Accidents
2 million youth under the age of 20 are exposed to farm related safety hazzards.
Most farm accidents occur to people 25 and under and 65 and older.
Why?

Do not work with animal for which you have not received permission.
Work in teams or groups.
If you open a gate, close it.
Never leave animal unattended.
Always remain calm around them.
Be gentle when handling them.
Wear closed toed shoes.

Know the type and temperament of cattle you are working with.

Watch for warning signs of aggression – stomping snorting, and lowering the head.
