Health Level Seven® (HL7®), Version 2.4 and higher: Information Exchange Segment/Reference Information Model 2. Unique Ingredient Identifier (UNII) – Allergen Code Mnemonic, Description, for food, drug and environmental substances. Derived from the FDA Substance Registration System (FDA SRS) and EPA Substance Registry System (EPA SRS). Supporting standards include Structured Product Labeling (SPL), RxNorm, Unified Medical Language System® (UMLS®), United States Adopted Names (USAN) and International Nonproprietary Names (INN), Language of Foods Thesaurus (LanguaL), Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act (FALCPA), VA Non Drug Allergen List. 3. RxNorm- Allergen Code Mnemonic, Description for branded drugs instances (BN). Supporting standards include Medical Subject Headings (MeSH), SPL, National Drug Code (NDC), Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine Clinical Terms (SNOMED), and National Drug File Reference Terminology (NDF-RT™). 4. National Drug File Reference Terminology (NDF-RT™): Allergy group/drug classes (chemical structure) Supporting standards include MeSH. 5. Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine Clinical Terms (SNOMED CT®): Allergy Type, Allergy Severity and Allergy Reaction Standards: Available, HITSP coordination needed with Medication Management Use Case (CHI Allergy recommendations to NCVHS) Market Availability: Very Limited Testing Method: Not currently available, but development may be feasible L o w M u m H i g h d e
