The colony of new jersey was founded in the year of 1664.

4 Why was your colony establish
The Founding of the Quaker colony of West Jersey. In the year 1664, the Duke of York, proprietary of the province of New York, assigned to Lord Berkeley and Sir George Carteret the tract of country to the east of the Delaware River, and extending to the Hudson and the Atlantic.

The New Jersey State Flag was adopted in Its official color is buff, which is a yellowish-tan color. The colors of the state flag, buff and dark blue (Jersey blue), were the colors George Washington chose for the flag of New Jersey's army regiments during the Revolutionary War. The state seal is featured on the flag.

John Berkeley, 1st Baron Berkeley of Stratton was an English royalist soldier, of the Bruton branch of the Berkeley family.he was born 26 August 1606 Vice Admiral Sir George Carteret, 1st Baronet, son of Elias de Carteret, was a royalist statesman in Jersey and England, who served in the Clarendon Ministry as Treasurer of the Navy. he was born 1610

12 What is the geography and climate of the colony?
Less severe winters than the New England colonies and cooler summers than the Southern colonies. The climate, combined with fertile soil and the general geography, made New Jersey ideal for farming.

Settlement of New Jersey in the 1600s was characterized by a promise of religious liberty. The Dutch and Swedish, and later the English, realized offering religious freedom would attract more settlers.

Middle Colonies schools were also largely religious but taught the teachings of one religion. If you were a Catholic, you learned about the Catholic religion. Most schools were private. Students also learned other subjects so they could get into college. Again, girls weren't allowed to attend, unless they were Quakers.

Natural resources in the New Jersey Colony included agricultural land, forests (timber), iron ore, coal, and furs. A typical New Jersey Colony farm included a barn, house, fields, and between 50 and 150 acres of land.
