1 DarkWynter Global Integration Strategy
CodeName : Halloween

2 The Abstract Imagine... A 3D home computer based on the My Space model. User's move from world to world creating and distributing objects. Such objects as can be created and shared by anyone. A birthplace, for a three dimensional Internet community

3 The Press Microsoft's XNA combined with .Net provides a platform that allows the average user to create custom 3D worlds. These worlds can be shared with other users across the Internet. Public and commercial forums can be hosted from servers allowing communities to grow Private users can customize their environments to share with friends and individuals throughout the Internet.

4 The Engine Generic Game Objects - Custom build objects from base primitives Level Editor - Terrain Height Modification - Generic Object Loading and Placement - Runtime compiler access to Object's Update and Draw functions. Plug-In Game Objects - Create Objects created through XML - .Net extensions to modify Update, Draw, and Load functions. - Simple, extensive, and safe modification of major functionality. - Abstract engine automates collision, force based physics, spacial culling, and precision graphics. XML Extended-Configurations Database - System Configurations - Game Specific Values - Level Specific Values - Player Character Configurations

5 The Projected Development Sequence
GameLab Create a General Game Development Platform Focus on tools for flexible and efficient generic game creation. Real time object component recompilation. In-game programmable objects In-game .net compiler and light text editor. In-game assembly reloading to support plug-ins VisCenter Algorithm Development and Testing Harness 3D environment for applying test code to generic objects Two versions: Language: C++/C# Graphics: DX/XNA Assemblies load from any combination of C++/C# and DirectX/XNA .Net required to support assembly loading and dynamic compilation Language: C++ Graphics: OpenGL Linux Engine integratable with departement requirements

6 Prospective Project Partners
Technological Backing University of Charlotte at North Carolina has a diverse background in its faculty and students. A balanced committee of VisCenter and GameLab personnel would balance ingenuity with industrial programming. Financial Backing Bank of America and UNCC have existing research relations that could be factored in to make this a viable global system. With Microsoft backing Distribution, this makes a sound investment for BoA. Distribution Backing Microsoft's market position puts it in a prime position to distribute this product. It should connect very well into their designs for XNA and could be used as a launching point for their new Vista, .Net2.0, and DirectX10 technologies which have yet to demonstrate their potential.

7 Exit Strategy Point of Renegotiation or Closure of Agreement All parties receive full sets of all assets of the Project at agreed upon milestones. DarkWynter benefits through obtaining engines designed to meet industry standards on multiple platforms. UNCC benefits from a single visualization base that spans it's visualization departments course of study requirements. Microsoft benefits by giving people a reason to buy Vista. They can take the concept and run with it after it has matured and stabilized Bank of America gets whatever it's trying to get in their deal with Google and UNCC.
