1 T’was the Week Before Christmas
A story by Mr. Warren December 2011 I hope you and your family have a great Holiday Season! I’ll look forward to seeing you in 2012! -Mr. Warren

2 T’was the week before Christmas when all through the school, all the children were busy, obeying each rule!

3 The stockings were hung in the hallway with care
The stockings were hung in the hallway with care. Luke hoped that Saint Nicholas would leave gifts in there.

4 The children were nestled all snug in their seats, With visions of Christmas time, candy and treats.

5 And Emma at her table, Evan by the map, Dave appeared ready for a long winter’s nap.

6 When out in the hall, there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the doorway I flew like a flash, Knocked open my desk drawer and spilled some Warren Cash.

7 The kids were curious, and wanted to know, “Who’s at our door
The kids were curious, and wanted to know, “Who’s at our door?” Phillip asked, “Is it time to go?” When, what to my wondering eyes should appear? My kids were standing with a smile and a cheer.

8 Next came a knock at our door, Joey answered quick
Next came a knock at our door, Joey answered quick. In came his mother with mail from Saint Nick.

9 She opened the letter and started the game
She opened the letter and started the game. Then I whistled and shouted and called every name: “Now, Norah ! Now, Noah, Now, Jayslin and Ian ! Come, Kyrsten ! Come, Jenna! Come, Paavan and Peyton ! To the front of the class, get ready for the hall! Now I say, now I say, now I say ALL!”

10 As I looked at the children, I held the clue high, Then I asked for a reader to give it a try.
So Brynn read, “Here’s a fun puzzle for you. To figure it out, you must read every clue.”

11 And then in a minute we all had a grin, so we went to the library
And then in a minute we all had a grin, so we went to the library. Lily let us in. Mrs. Woodring was there, checking out a book. Nicole asked, “Do you have something for us? Will you please take a look?”

12 She found another letter that Santa had put, on a shelf in the library close to her foot. Ross raised his hand to read the clue back, It spoke of a place where you might eat a snack.

13 This clue was all wrinkled but sounded quite merry.
We went to the lunch room, to find our next query. The lunch room was quiet, we didn’t see a soul. Avery added, “We must find that clue or we just can’t go!” We searched the cafeteria from ceiling to floor, Emily found the clue, hidden close to the door.

14 It sent us where you go when you’re hurt or get sick
It sent us where you go when you’re hurt or get sick. “I know,” said Eli, “To the nurse’s office! Let’s get there quick!” It was Abbie, who found the next clue on the shelf, Our nurse gave it to her and she read it herself.

15 A wink of my eye and a nod of my head,
“To Mrs. Cassell’s office!” Noah R. said. We spoke not a word but went straight to her door, Taryn noticed a bag on the floor.

16 Down the front hallway, Our class walked in a hurry, like tiny little mice when they run in a scurry. Daniel held the goodie bag over his back. Once in our class room, David emptied the sack.

17 I said as they board buses and rode out of sight,
With the party all finished and the day all done, I dismissed my students ‘cause the break had begun. I said as they board buses and rode out of sight, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
