1 Being Thankful Psalm 100

2 General Remarks A part of worship (Psa. 100:4)
Christians are to be thankful (Col. 3:15) “Overflowing with gratitude” (Col. 2:7) Featured in prayer (Phil. 4:6) Paul rebuked pagans for not being thankful (Rom. 1:21) Are we subject for rebuke when we fail to be thankful? Regardless of society’s lack of thankfulness, let us continue to be thankful (1 Thess. 5:17-18)

3 Reasons For Being Thankful
For the freedom we enjoy (1 Tim. 2:1-2) Preventative to church problems. General concern (Phil. 2:1-4) Brethren who are divisive are not thankful for each other (Gal. 5:15) When was the last time you thanked God for your brethren? It will likely get you off the negative Put you on the positive

4 Be thankful for: Peace with God (Rom. 5:1)
Being in the Lord’s body (Col. 1:18) For our calling (Eph. 4:1-2) That God has made us fit for heaven (Col. 1:13).

5 Look For Opportunities

6 Avoid Victimology Always being a victim
This has developed into a serious problem nowadays Either out right denying or shifting responsibility Seriously impairs any need to be thankful. Antidote—Romans 12:3.

7 Antidote: You are probably NOT being mistreated all the time and you are most certainly NOT the center of the universe (Rom. 12:3) Being thankful in prayer will dispel victimology. “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving” (Col. 4:2, NKJV)
