Starter Directions: Answer each questions. Use the following terms to answer the question: a.) Repel or Attract b.) Conduction or Induction A positive glass rod on a string is brought near another positive glass rod on a string. a.) What will happen when the two come in contact with each other? b.) What type of charge transfer is happening between the two glass rods?

Circuits Day 41
3
Review Directions: Draw and Classify Which One has an Overall Positive Charge, Overall Negative Charge, or Overall Neutral a b c
4
Review Directions: Draw and Identify as Repelling or Attracting. - + + - - +
5
Review Directions: Look at the charges in the animation. Explain what is happening.
6
Conductor vs. insulators
Copy T-chart. Conductor Insulators Allows electricity to flow through. Resists the flow of electricity. Examples: Any Metal, Any wire Examples: Wire, Rubber, Etc.
7
Conductor or Insulator
Directions: Copy and Answer using the terms insulator (I) or conductor (C). Silver Aluminum Wood Air Glass Copper Gold Styrofoam

Copy: Series vs Parallel
Series Circuit Parallel Circuit Has Only One Path For the Electrons to Flow. Has More than One Path for the Electrons to Flow. If one bulb goes out they all go out. If one bulb goes out the rest will stay on. Example: a 50 light strand of Christmas Lights Examples: House is Wired in Parallel and House Appliances
