Remember the theme Introduction (50 words) Strong first sentence which engages the reader and demonstrates your understanding of the question Make illusions to your points Close with thesis statement

18 How to write a History essay
Points 1,2,3 (50 to 100 words each) It should be obvious, from your middle paragraphs, what question you are answering Strong first sentence which directs the reader clearly and sets up point State point Give and example (documents) Option: closing sentence could set up next point (advanced) Conclusion (50 to 75 words) Summarize your points Conclude thesis statement ***NO NEW INFORMATION*** Intro and conclusion should be written, or at least modified, after the body
