Maywood Madness Spirit Days and SDR Competitions

2 Tuesday, May 30th Spirit Day – Tie Dye ~ Dress colorfully in tie-dye and/or neon colors! ~ Participation Counts! Lunch Competition - Water Balloon Toss ~ Each class will send two representatives ~ The partners will pass the water balloons in the air until it collapses. Once we have a clear winner, the competition will end.

3 Wednesday, May 31st Spirit Day – Maywood and Liberty Apparel Day ~ 6th and 7th graders dress in Maywood colors and apparel. ~ 8th graders dress in Liberty colors and apparel. ~Participation will not count for points, but is highly encouraged!

4 Thursday, June 1st Spirit Day – Tacky Tourist Day
~ Dress as tacky as possible, with tropical vibes! ~ Participation counts! Lunch Competition – Limbo ~ Each class will send one representative ~ The class representative who can go the lowest wins!

5 Friday, June 2nd Spirit Day – Throwback/Decade Day ~ Dress in outfits inspired by the 50s-90s ~Participation Counts! Lunch Competition – Throwback Lip Sync Battle ~Each class will randomly be assigned a throwback song to create a lip sync to perform ~Each class will send 5-6 representatives to lip sync to their song ~Props and costumes are allowed, but must follow the school dress code and guidelines

6 Spirit Day Participation Points
The percentage of your class that participates will count for that many points multiplied by 10 Ex: 80% of your class participates= 800 points Two leadership students will go to all SDR classes at the beginning of each SDR.

7 School Supplies Drive for Foster Kids
Grade/SDR Competition Rules and Details Monday, May 30th – Friday, June 2nd

8 Overview This Spring, we are doing a school supplies drive for foster children. This is an all-grade and SDR competition to see who can bring in the most school supplies. All items collected will go straight to the Treehouse Foundation, an establishment that helps provide foster children with great opportunities and the tools they need for success in the future.

*Items need to be unused and unopened! Pencils/Pens Rulers Erasers Backpacks Pencil Pouches Calculators Paper (Lined, graph) USB Drives Notebooks (Spiral, composition) Binders Pencil Sharpeners Glue Highlighters Markers Divider Tabs Scissors

10 Collection Bins Each SDR teacher has a special bin for donations.
For larger donations, please drop off in main office with name of SDR teacher attached. All donations must be unopened and new, otherwise they will not count.

Flash/USB Drive – 8GB or higher Pens/ pencils* Backpacks Glue sticks- 4 pack Calculators - Scientific Scissors 10 Points: Lined/graphed paper package Divider Tabs Colored pencils/markers/crayons* Pencil Pouches Pencil sharpener Binders (Any size) Eraser – 2 pack Box Tops Ruler Highlighters - 4 pack Notebook Calculators - Basic

12 Box Tops Each valid Box Top will be 10 points for your SDR class!
Expires on or after June 30, 2017 Pre-cut to size
