2 Are sanctified people saved people?
Sanctify (hagiazo) means the setting apart of the believer for God, Acts 20:32. It is also the separation of the believer from the world in his behavior by the Father through the word, John 17:17, 19. Every believer is sanctified in Christ Jesus, 1 Cor. 1:2.

3 Are sanctified people saved people?
Sanctification is not an achievement but the state into which we become partakers of the heavenly calling, Heb. 3:1. The sanctified are called by God, through His word. Sanctification (hagiasmos) is the course of life for the one who is separated.

4 Are sanctified people saved people?
A tenet of Calvinism is called perseverance of the saints. This simply means that a person cannot do anything to lose their salvation once they have received it. This would mean that once a person is sanctified, set apart to the service of God, he could no longer do anything contrary to God’s will; the saved will be saved. The sanctified will be saved, regardless.

5 Are sanctified people saved people?
Sanctification is not salvation and never will be. 1 John 1:5-10 – we should walk in the light and not in darkness 1 John 3:4-9 – the sanctified should no longer sin because of the understanding they have of God The sanctified can sin even though they know they should not.

11 Are sanctified people saved people?
This is what sanctified people were doing in Corinth. They were stumbling in their own actions and they were causing one another to stumble.

12 Are sanctified people saved people?
While they had received the Gospel of salvation, they had been washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of Jesus, 1 Cor. 6:11, they were not living as those who are set apart should live.

13 Are sanctified people saved people?
The first letter is a letter of correction. It is a letter of reminder of what the sanctified life of those who are in Christ should be. In the second letter we read of their attitude after they received the first letter.

14 Are sanctified people saved people?
2 Cor. 7:2-16 – Paul’s confidence in the saints at Corinth was renewed when he learned from Titus of their great zeal for repentance. 2 Cor. 13:11-14 – Paul closes the letter with gentle but effective reminders

15 Are sanctified people saved people?
Sanctification is… Objective, in that God is the One who sets apart and Subjective, in that we are called to live a life separated to holiness.

16 Are sanctified people saved people?
Sanctified people are not saved, because they are sanctified, but they are the only ones who have the hope of salvation because they have been set apart by God through their obedience to the Gospel. Are you striving for sanctification each day?
