2 LABOUR FORCE SUPPLY the number of the unemployed addressing the labour exchange (‘LE’) decreased by 32,0 thousand or 20,1 per cent. Every sixth unemployed person has not had any job experience until his registration at the LE. 16,2 per cent of the unemployed were repeatedly registered at the LE during one-year period.

7 LABOUR FORCE DEMAND 83 thous. jobseekers were placed into jobs with the mediation of the LE, 66,0 thousand according to the permanent job contract (79,5 per cent), last year 97,5 thousand, out of whom 76,4 per cent according to the permanent job contract. There are more women (52,6 per cent) placed into jobs than men. The youth makes up 15,4 per cent, the long-term unemployed 17,5 per cent.

8 The demand for permanent job increases
labour force demand remained big, i.e. 93,7 thousand. compared to the same period of the last year, the number of vacancies for permanent job decreased by 1,7 thousand, for temporary job by 6,1 thousand. This year the permanent job proposals made up 81,6 per cent of the total number of registered vacancies, last year – 77,0 per cent.

9 Structure of work places
The biggest supply of work places – for qualified employees, which is by more than every second job proposal. Every fourth job proposal – for unqualified employees. Half of the vacancies are in the services sector and almost every third – in the industry.

11 Unemployment indicators
the number of the unemployed registered in the local labour exchanges made up 4,1 per cent of the country’s working-age inhabitants. During the year the proportion of the unemployed to the working-age inhabitants decreased by 1,9 per cent. The proportion of the unemployed males to the country’s working-age men was 3,0 per cent, which, compared to October 1 of 2004, was less by 1,8 per cent.

12 Unemployment indicators
The proportion of the unemployed females to the country’s working-age women dropped down by 2,1 per cent to 5,1 per cent. The proportion of the unemployed youth to the total number of the country’s inhabitants aged 16 to 25 made up 1,4 per cent. A year ago it was 2,4 per cent.cent.

Restructure lifelong training system after compulsory education; Develop assistance to students and teachers; Make school material condition minimum standards higher; Update content of education, training and lecturers; Develop management culture of education institutions.
