2 Definition The F.I.T.T. Principle is one of the foundations of exercise, a set of guidelines that help you design a workout routine to fit your fitness level and goals. It is easy to understand why some fell overwhelmed about beginning a new fitness routine. Virtually every day the media is bombarding the public with diets and skinny celebrities. With so much information, it can be hard to decide what fitness regimen will deliver results. But, it is not difficult at all to determine what workout will provide health benefits.

3 F.I.T.T. The best way to receive maximum results from your workout is to apply the F.I.T. T. principle to your workouts. This acronym stands for Frequency, Intensity, Time and Type.

4 PRINCIPLE OF FREQUENCY
Frequency is how often you exercise. After performing any exercise, your body completes a process of rebuilding and repairing. So, determining the frequency of exercise is important in order to find a balance that provides just enough stress for the body to adapt and also allows enough rest time for healing. It is important to set up a regular routine for your activity. According to the Center for Disease Control, CDC, you should achieve at least 300 minutes a week of moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity or 150 minutes a week of vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity.

5 PRINCIPLE OF INTENSITY
Intensity is the amount of effort or work you use to perform your exercise (how hard you work out). This too requires a good balance to ensure that the intensity is hard enough to overload the body but not so difficult that is results in overtraining, injury or burnout. The general rule is to work in your target heart rate zone(you will learn more about your THR zone in the course). You should do a variety of intensities from low to high during your workouts.

6 Principle of time Time is how long your exercise is.
The CDC suggest minutes of aerobic physical activity per workout session.

7 PRINCIPLE OF TYPE Type is the type of activity you are doing.
If you are doing aerobic physical activity you should choose one that elevates the heart rate. Some examples of aerobic exercise are running, cycling, dancing, swimming, sports and ect.
