Arrived in Europe by Sea in 1348.
How it came Arrived in Europe by Sea in 1348. 12 Ships had docked at the Scilian Port of Messina after traveling through the Black Sea. Killed more than 20 million people had died in Europe alone. ⅓ of its population NL

How it is transmitted Rats are the prime candiate of holding the bacteria of the plague Fleas then drinks the rats blood causing the bacteria to enter the fleas system The bacteria rapidly muliplies in the abdomen of the flea The fleas then bites the human The Human is infected quickly NL

How it starts First you will get some swelling either in the groin or under the armpit. The swelling will then bleed and start to pus. When it starts to bleed is when you start to have some of the symptoms. NL

Symptoms Fevers Chills Vomiting Diarrhea Aches and pain Rapid pulse
Enlargd lymph nodes Black spots all over the body And Death NL

How it spreads in the body
The Black Death was transmitted by a bacillus called Yersina Pestis. Bacillus travels from person to person or through the air. Also through the bite of an infected fleas or rats. NL

People would be healthy one day and that same night they would go to sleep and would never wake up. They had caught the Plague and did not realize it. NL

Interesting Facts Many schoars believe that the nursery rhyme “ Ring around the Rosy” was written about the symptoms of the Black Death. Since it was catagious to animals as well as humans many sheeps dies causing Europe to have a wool shortage. Because of the black spots you would get on your body they named it the Black Death NL
